On 29-31 January, 2013 “Uluchay” Social-Economic Innovation Center has organized a Communication and Funraising training session for civil society organizations working on public finance issues and also for representatives of education sector in Yevlakh, Azerbaijan. The session was organized within the “The piloting involvement of rural and urban population in the budgeting of preschools and schools project” funded by the European Union and implemented by the Center for Economic and Social Development in partnership with “Uluchay” Social-Economic Innovation Center.
The training session was provided by Arzu Huseynova – trainer of Uluchay and facilitating of the session was provided by the Chairman of Uluchay – Mayis Safarov.
The overall objective of the session was to increase the communication and fundraising skills of civil society organizations and representatives of education sector in Yevlakh. Totally 25 representatives of both sectors has participated in the session.
During the training session participants has received information on communication principles and empowerment of current education system through mutual accountability and responsibility. Also, participants received information on best practices of foreign countries regarding to the partnership of CSOs and education sector representatives (pre-schools, schools and universities) and opportunities for such cooperation in Azerbaijan, including fundraising for common projects and participation in local and regional programs.
At the end of the training session, participants has received relevant hand-outs and materials on communication and fundraising.
