On 11 March, 2017 “Uluchay” Social-Economic Innovation Center has organized a training session on “Cooperation of civil society sector and government: foreign models” with participation of representatives of civil society organizations, local authorities and government representatives.
The training has been provided by the Vugar Bayramov – Chairman of Center for Economic and Social Development (CESD) partner organization of the Action. The aim of the training was to increase the knowledge and awareness of local stakeholders, including CSOs, authorities and government representatives on using innovative tools and approaches of other countries for cooperation. With the participation of 28 stakeholders, training sessions have supported the learning of new methodologies from different countries, specifically from USA, United Kingdom, Turkey, New Zealand, Brazil, India and Estonia. Covering wider range of countries with different specifics helped to participated to get in-depth and different approaches for creation of possible cooperation between civil society sector and government.
Participants were able to get the necessary materials, including presentations and detailed information on provided models, as well as actively participate in questions & answers sessions in order to discuss challenges and possible adoption of models in Azerbaijan.
The training session has been organized with the initiative of “Uluchay” Social-Economic Innovation Center within the “Enabling civil society to play a greater role in advancing socio-economic rights of vulnerable populations” project funded by the European Union and supported by the UNDP. The project is implementing in cooperation with Center for Economic and Social Development and Sheki Regional Office of Ministry of Justice of Azerbaijan.
