“Uluchay” Social-Economic Innovation Center is implementing the Action to fight discrimination against vulnerable women in North-Western region of Azerbaijan.
The project is supporting within the EU and UNDP funded and UNDP implementing “Promoting the role of civil society in gender-sensitive implementation of Sustainable Development Goals” project.
The overall objective of the project is to reduce the discrimination and social exclusion of divorced and widowed women and wives of prisoners (DWWP) in the society.
Component 1: Established mechanism that provides better legal and psychological assistance, business education, start-up and employment support to divorced and widowed women and wives of prisoners
Component 2: Improved capacity and skills of local authorities and civil society organizations for better protection of rights of DWWP; and
Component 3: Raised awareness of public and stakeholders on problems of DWWP in regions and decrease of social stigmas on DWWP.
Target regions: Sheki, Gakh and Zagatala districts of Azerbaijan
Target groups: divorced and widowed women and wives of prisoners
