“Uluchay” Social-Economic Innovation Center announced the closure of the “FIT and CONNECT in the Caucasus!- Fostering sustainable civil society through cooperation” project implemented in the partnership with Foundation for Development of Democratic Rights (DemNet) from Hungary and funded by the International Visegrad Fund.
During this project, Uluchay in cooperation with DemNet and other partners from V4 countries – Agora, Fundacja Partners Polska and PDCS have worked on the capacity building of local and national civil society organizations from Azerbaijan. Ten selected CSOs based in regions and capital Baku have participated in the 4-days CONNECT (Communication, Networking and Cooperation) training sessions in Baku. By the end of the training session, Uluchay and DemNet have announced the call for proposals for participants of the project to propose their projects with the consideration of three main components: cooperation, networking and communication. As a result of this call four proposals were selected for funding and representatives of these organizations had a chance to participate in one-week FIT (Fundraising, Impact and Transparency) Summer School organized in Hungary. Through all these capacity building trainings and meetings with different organizations participants of the project increased their skills and knowledge of all these mentioned topics, which are important in terms of the sustainability of civil society organizations.
The project has also the open Facebook Group, where project participants are sharing with their project results, experience and other relevant materials, as well as representatives of V4 partners are providing counseling services to CSOs on different aspects of their daily work. All CSOs are welcome to join to this group and provide their questions and comments. Here is the link to the group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/Fit.connect.caucasus/
