Uluchay continues to develop business skills of youth and women

For last six months of Sheki-Zagatala Development Model Project “Uluchay” Social-Economic Innovation has increased the business skills and knowledge of 50 youth and women from Sheki district through provided 10-days business training sessions. Trainings were provided by Entrepreneurship Advisors of Uluchay – Sadiq Latifov and Arzu Huseynova.

Within the business trainings module participants received trainings on business leadership, marketing, sales, finance management, financial reporting, access to finance and credit, business registration and establishment, business management and development and 2-days business-plan writing. Participants of business training received materials with the in-depth information and examples on each of provided training topics.
By the end of business training, participants of the project were invited to submit their business-plans to receive technical grant support from the project.

The EU funded “Sheki-Zagatala Development Model” is a project, implemented by World Vision International in Azerbaijan and “Uluchay” Socio-Economic Innovation Center. The overall objective of the project is reduction of regional socio-economic disparities and diversification of the economy by creating conditions for balanced and sustainable economic development across all regions of Azerbaijan. The project duration is 30 months, starting from January, 2014.
