The “Monitoring and advocating for the human rights of children and vulnerable women in Azerbaijan” project is implementing by the “Uluchay” Social-Economic Innovation Center. The project is funded within the “Protecting human rights of vulnerable groups in Azerbaijan” project funded by the European Union and implemented by the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR).

The project’s overall objective is to strengthen the national and regional organizations to become more effective forces in monitoring and advocating for the rights of vulnerable groups.

  • The project’s first specific objective is to provide civil society organizations with critical knowledge of monitoring tools and mechanisms and capacity related to women’s and children’s rights;
  • The project’s second specific objective is to support organizations to monitor women’s and children’s rights and advocate for legislative and policy changes;
  • The project’s third specific objective is to provide legal support to vulnerable women and children (families) in pilot districts of Azerbaijan.
