Urgent start-up support action for vulnerable communities in Sheki

The “Urgent start-up support action for vulnerable communities in Sheki” project is funded by the European Union and implementing by the “Uluchay” Social-Economic Innovation Center. The duration of the project is 6 months.

The overall objective of the Action is to recover livelihood conditions of economically vulnerable people affected from COVID-19 pandemic in Sheki district of Azerbaijan. The specific objective of the Action is to create new income sources for economically vulnerable families and individuals through technical business start-up support and counselling.

The Action will work towards establishing small-scale enterprises and self-employment opportunities for the target group ensuring income stability and economic empowerment in the short and long term. Businesses created under this initiative will have the opportunity to grow and create more income generating activities for other community members, further stimulating the local economy.
